Turmeric and coconut milk anti-inflammatory smoothie

This turmeric and coconut milk anti-inflammatory smoothie is packed with natural ingredients that fight inflammation in the body.

Turmeric is one of our favorite spices, and tops the list when it comes to health benefits.

Turmeric is a very potent healing spice. It is one the most researched plants in the world. There are many reasons to eat turmeric. The medicinal properties of turmeric have been the subject of over 6000 peer-reviewed and published biomedical studies.

Let’s take a look at the ingredients in this turmeric and coconut milk anti-inflammatory smoothie.

Pineapple:
Pineapple contains bromelain, a natural anti-inflammatory enzyme. This enzyme can rival potent pharmaceuticals such as NSAIDs and steroids.  When bromelain is combined with Indian spice “turmeric” it is even more potent.

Spinach:
Spinach ranks among the highest in flavonoids and phytonutrients, which are compounds that have powerful anti-inflammatory properties.

Turmeric:
The superspice has antiviral, antibacterial, and antimicrobial properties, and has shown benefits in the area of breast cancer prevention, cold and flu, heart health, and Alzheimer’s.

Directions:

Process the following ingredients in a blender:

2 cups of spinach
2 cups of coconut milk
2 cups of pineapple
1/2 a lemon, juiced
1-inch piece of ginger
1/2 tsp of turmeric

Make sure ingredients are organic
