Immune booster smoothie

An immune booster smoothie packed with antioxidants to keep you healthy.

It is a cross between a juice and a smoothie, so you get many of the healing benefits.
Try to drink it twice a day when under the weather or when you simply feel tired.

Blackberries:

They have a dark color due to the Anthocyanin which are powerful Antioxidants.

Blackberries are great for urinary tract health and are anti-aging.

They contain Phytochemical which protect cells and fight disease. They also contain Ellagic acid known to help prevent colon, breast and cervical cancers.

Bananas:

They are full of Vitamin C, B6 and potassium with over 400 mg potassium in one medium-size banana.

Potassium is important for good nerve and muscle function and to maintain a healthy balance of fluids in the body.

Blackberries and banana smoothie:

Blend:

1 cup organic blackberries

2 whole bananas (peeled)

1/3 cup pine nuts

4 Tbsp chia seeds

1 cup almond milk

Optional: Add 1 tbsp of orange blossom water to give it an exotic flavor.
