These heart health creamy avocado fudge pops are a delicious and healthy alternative to sugar laden store bough popsicles.

The dangers of sugar are well documented. Recent research has shown that high sugar intake can greatly increase heart disease risk, and a new MRI technique even confirmed that cancer cells feed on sugar.

Let’s take a closer look at the ingredients heart health creamy avocado fudge pops.

Avocados:
They are an excellent source of omega-3 fatty acids, and other healthy fats that are great for the heart. Avocados are also packed with antioxidants that have anti-inflammatory properties.

Coconuts:
Organic coconuts are packed with healthy fats. They are also great for skin and hair health because of their high levels of the antioxidant vitamin E.

Ingredients:

2 large organic avocados
1/2 cup of homemade or organic Greek yogurt
1 cup of organic full-fat coconut milk
1/2 cup of raw cocoa powder
1 tablespoon of vanilla extract
1/4 cup of monk fruit
Pinch of Himalayan salt, optional

Directions:

1. In a blender, puree all the ingredients until smooth.
2. Pour or spoon the mixture into ice pop molds to freeze.
3. Tap the molds on the countertop several times once they are full to try to remove air bubbles.
4. Insert ice-pop sticks and freeze until pops are solid (four to six hours or preferably overnight).
