Raw bars are great snacks to eat in between meals. These healthy almond and date raw bars are packed with fiber and nutrition.
These little bars are so easy to make, and you only need three ingredients to get started!
Let’s take a closer look at the ingredients in these healthy almond and date raw bars.
Almonds:
Nuts are not often thought of as a cancer fighting food, but research says otherwise. Mounting medical evidence shows that eating a handful of nuts per day can go a long way in the fight against cancer.
Blueberries:
They are renowned as a super food around the world. Blueberries are rich in antioxidants, and have shown benefits in cancer prevention, brain health, and heart health.
Dates:
Dates are a great natural sweetener and are packed with antioxidants like carotenoids and vitamin C. They are also packed with dietary fiber.
Directions:
1. Roast 1 cup of almonds in the oven at 350 degrees F for 10-12 minutes (optional). Let them cool before proceeding.
2. Combine the almonds, 1 cup of dried blueberries, and 1 cup of dates in a food processor and pulse to break them up.
3. Blend for 30 seconds and scrape the edges of the food processor and make sure nothing is sticking.
4. Continue blending in a food processor until the ingredients clump up into a ball.
5. Form the ball into a square, wrap with saran wrap and place in the fridge overnight.
6. Then cut into smaller squares and they are ready to enjoy!
