How to contact the FDA about new food label regulations

  • Have you ever wanted to make suggestions to the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) on regulating food labels to make sure they are safe and that harmful ingredients are clearly labeled?
  • Now is your chance to do just that.
  • SO TAKE CONTROL OF THE FOOD YOU EAT.
  • The FDA is taking your suggestions and comments.
  • Make your voice heard and let the FDA know what your thoughts are on food label changes and what they can do to further improve them.
  • The FDA is taking suggestions on their website and mail until June 2, 2014. Your suggestions do matter, as the administration will review all comments that are submitted and take them into consideration before issuing the final regulations.
  • To submit your comments, go to www.regulations.gov and enter the following docket numbers below in the “Key Word” box:
  • 1. To submit comments on the Nutrition Facts label: FDA-2012-N-1210
  • 2. To submit comment on the changes to the serving sizes: FDA-2004-N-0258
  • 3. To submit comment by mail, send letters to:

  • Make sure that the corresponding docket number is written on the top of every page of your comments.
