With eco-glamour and style on December 11, 2012 Global Green USA held its 8th Annual Gorgeous and Green San Francisco Gala.
The event took place at the Bently Reserve, a beautiful San Francisco LEED-certified green building owned by devoted green leader Christopher Bently. The night was filled with eco-conscious stylish guests dedicated to making a difference.
When asked what it meant to host such a benefit, this is what co-chair Nadine Weil had to say: “Hosting this event for 8 years in a row is a dream come true. We are are spreading the message of eco-friendliness and environmental responsibility as a life style. For me it is by far the most glamorous thing to do.”
The night began with a cocktail party where guests enjoyed organic appetizers by Taste Catering.
Following the cocktail party, dinner guests were treated to a three course meal. Each course masterfully prepared and in order of sequence by chefs Joseph Humphrey of Dixie, Michael Mina of MICHAEL MINA and Bill Corbett of Absinthe.
Guests savored the succulent creations while listening to an enchanting musical performance by Michelle Branch.
Herself a huge supporter of Global Green USA, Branch has embraced Green Living after her daughter was born.
Shortly after the performance Matt Petersen, CEO of Global Green announced the Eco- Accolades winners. Three Bay Area companies: Google, PwC, and DLR Group were the lucky winners this year.
The event expanded into the much awaited eco-fashion show curated by Lily Achatz and Clarissa Nicosia and featured leading eco designers: Mina+ Olya, Oliver Tolentino, Prophetik, Amour Vert, PACT, and Cari Borja with a special segment by Vintage a la Mode.
The benefit was a big success and exceeded its fundraising goals. Guests left inspired by sustainable technologies and eco-conscious initiatives revealed to them.
