Do you use black elderberry? This is a potent virus cold and flu buster elderberry tea.
- Black elderberry has been used medicinally for hundreds of years.
- The International Society for Horticultural Science named the elderberry “Herb of the Year” for 2013 and for good reason.
- The first International Elderberry Symposium was hosted by University of Missouri at Columbia.
- Scientists from around the world gathered to learn and share what they discovered.
- Elderberry extract is a botanical that helps tremendously with most viruses and with cold and flu symptoms. It has been found to shorten the duration of symptoms by as much as 4 days. The studies done on elderberry extract found it effective in fighting up to 10 strains of flu virus.
- The seventeenth century herbalist, John Evelyn, referred to it as a remedy “against all infirmities what-so-ever.”
- It has also recently been discovered that the botanical contains viburnic acid, a compound that triggers perspiration and aids in detoxifying body tissues. Elderberry can help reduce fever, purify the blood, get rid of toxins and cleanse the body’s cells of pathogens.
- Drinking Elderberry tea is an effective way to help relieve cold and flu symptoms.
