- Take a healthy step and use lemon, white vinegar and baking soda as your natural disinfectants of choice.
- Make your own solution: You will save a lot of money and reduce chemical exposure for you and your loved ones.
- For cleaning hard surfaces:
- Solution #1:
- Mix :
- 1 cup of white vinegar
- 2 cups of water
- 1/3 of cup of organic lemon juice
- Solution #2:
- Mix:
- 1 cup of white vinegar
- 2 tbsp of baking soda
- Scrub away: You will get a germ-busting disinfectant to whiten your porcelain sinks, bathtub, shower and toilets. Your white porcelain will sparkle!
- Note: You can also use solution #1 and #2 for your grout. Just apply with a toothbrush and scrub the grout. Leave on for 1 hour and rinse.
- Use a dye-free, non scratch scrub sponge instead of paper towels and you will have taken a giant green step today!
- For your white laundry:
- Mix:
- 1/2 cup of lemon juice
- 1 cup baking soda
- Pour the solution in a container to spot treat (white clothes only) or just add straight to laundry if pre-soaking.
- You just have to shake it before you use each time.
- Warning: Do not use on porous surfaces, use on white clothes only when adding lemon.
