6 people who inspired us the most this year

6 people who inspired us the most this year

We wanted to share with you the 6 people who inspired us the most this year. They lead by example and are truly impacting the world we live in.

We were privileged to meet some of them.

Our goal as a leading green media platform is to spread their messages and further their missions.

1. Laurent Fabius made the COP 21 a big success. The French Foreign Minister was the driving force behind the Paris Climate Talk.

As President of COP 21, he was responsible for explaining the needs of 200 nations and deal with climate change.

Because of a man like him, we can hope for a better, sustainable and greener world.

2. LinkedIn cofounder, Reid Hoffman takes a very B Team approach to doing business.

He invests in organizations that have the most potential to do good.

One such business is non-profit, Kiva, which seeks to combat poverty through microfinance.

He is the type of leader the world needs!

3. Archbishop Desmond Tutu: A true humanitarian by essence.

He is a South African social rights activist and retired Anglican bishop and was a powerful force during the 1980s as an opponent of apartheid.

Tutu has spent his life campaigning to fight HIV/AIDS, poverty and racism.

Wow wow wow!

4. Maya Angelou: A truly inspiring woman, African-American writer and poet Maya Angelou (1928–2015). She left us this year with a poignant last quote:

“Listen to yourself and in that quietude you might hear the voice of God.

With a Pulitzer Prize nomination for her book of poetry Just Give Me a Cool Drink of Water, she has touched the lives of many with her simple words of wisdom.

She was awarded more than fifty honorary degrees.

Dr Angelou was a big influence on us and a mentor.

5. Adyashanti: This year we had the honor to spend a day with our spiritual mentor.

Adyashanti, author of Falling into Grace. He is an American-born spiritual teacher devoted to serving the awakening of all beings. Adyashanti’s nondual teachings have been compared to those of the early Zen masters and Advaita .

Adyashanti’s teachings are directed to those who are sincerely in search for their true self.

6. Fred Kofman: Last by certainly not least, Fred Kofman whose book Conscious Business, has been translated in more than ten languages.

Conscious business, explains Fred Kofman, means finding your passion and expressing your essential values through your work.

It produces sustainable, exceptional performance through the solidarity of its community and the dignity of each member.

Conscious Business was recently named by Sheryl Sandberg in her New York Times interview as “the business book every executive should read.”

This book has profoundly inspired us to be more conscious as a business, in our daily actions and in learning how to impact others in a positive way.
