Cranberry ginger holiday tea

This cranberry ginger holiday tea will cleanse the kidneys, detox the body, and provide warmth during the cold winter days.

Let’s take a closer look at the ingredients in this cranberry ginger holiday tea recipe. 

Cranberries:
They are well known to cleanse the kidneys. They remove excess water from the organs, and break down fatty tissue. Drinking cranberry juice can help prevent urinary tract infections by kill E. Coli bacteria.

Ginger:
This potent spice is great for the immune system, can treat motion sickness, and also adds a nice kick to this healthy drink.

Lemon juice:
It is high in vitamin C, which helps strengthen the immune system, and also flushes out toxins by acting as a diuretic. The acids in organic lemon juice help regulate the pH levels of the body. Lemons contain compounds called limonins, which have been shown to fight many types of cancers. 

Ingredients:
4 cups of water
1 1/2 cups of cranberries
2 tsps of lemon juice
1 inch piece of ginger

Directions:
Add water to a saucepan
Bring water to a boil
Add all ingredients and continue to boil for 5-10 minutes
Sweeten with 1 tbsp of raw honey or coconut sugar

NOTE: You can just double up the amount depending on how many guests you will serve.
